Emerging drugs, such as Sacubitril/Valsartan, have shown promise in reducing hospitalization rates and mortality in heart failure patients. This angiotensin receptor-neprilysin inhibitor (ARNI) is now recommended as a first-line therapy in place of ACE inhibitors for certain patients with heart failure.
Device therapy, including the use of implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs) and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT), has seen significant advancements. Newer devices are more efficient and have sophisticated algorithms to improve cardiac function and reduce hospital admissions.
