Activities such as swimming, cycling, and walking can also be beneficial for UCL rehabilitation. These activities can help the athlete build strength and endurance without putting too much strain on the elbow.
In addition to following the rehabilitation plan, there are several things an athlete can do to optimize their recovery from a UCL injury.

Applying ice to the elbow after activity can help reduce pain and swelling. Ice should be applied for 15-20 minutes at a time, several times a day.
Eating a balanced diet can help the body heal and recover from an injury. Eating plenty of fruits, vegetables, and lean proteins can provide the body with the nutrients it needs to heal.
Having the support of family and friends can be beneficial during the rehabilitation process. They can provide emotional support and help the athlete stay motivated.
UCL injuries can be painful and debilitating, but with proper rehabilitation, athletes can recover and return to their sport. Physical therapy, exercises, and activities can help restore strength, flexibility, and range of motion. Additionally, following the tips outlined above can help optimize recovery and ensure a successful return to sport.
