NAFLD is closely linked with metabolic syndrome, obesity, and insulin resistance. NAFLD can progress to non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH), cirrhosis, and hepatocellular carcinoma. However, with early detection and appropriate management, the disease progression can be halted and even reversed.

By addressing the underlying metabolic issues, promoting lifestyle changes, and exploring emerging therapeutic options, healthcare professionals can play a crucial role in mitigating the impact of this disease.
