High-sensitivity cardiac troponin assays have revolutionized the early detection of myocardial injury, allowing for prompt initiation of treatment. Novel imaging techniques, such as coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA), provide non-invasive visualization of coronary anatomy and plaque characteristics, enhancing diagnostic accuracy.
Contemporary ACS management emphasizes early invasive strategies. Percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) remains the cornerstone of revascularization, with drug-eluting stents showing superior outcomes. Emerging fields, such as genomics and precision medicine, hold promise for individualized ACS management. Moreover, artificial intelligence and machine learning tools are being explored to predict ACS events and guide therapeutic decisions.
ACS management has witnessed remarkable advancements, from diagnostic modalities to therapeutic interventions and patient care strategies. Continued research and innovation are crucial to further enhance patient outcomes. As healthcare professionals, we must stay abreast of these advancements to deliver the highest quality of care to our patients.
