Recent advancements in neuroimaging and biomarker research have revolutionized our ability to diagnose dementia. High-resolution brain imaging techniques, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET), can now detect early pathological changes associated with dementia. Further, the identification of novel biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid and blood has shown promise in facilitating early and accurate diagnosis.

Cholinesterase inhibitors and NMDA receptor antagonists remain the mainstay of pharmacological management. These models facilitate the coordination of care across different healthcare settings, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive, continuous care.
Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning hold great potential in improving dementia care. These technologies could enhance diagnostic accuracy, predict disease progression, and personalize treatment strategies, thereby transforming the future of dementia care.
Keeping abreast of the latest innovations and best practices in dementia diagnosis and management is crucial for healthcare professionals. Through a commitment to ongoing learning and adaptation, we can ensure that our patients receive the highest standard of care in the face of this complex and challenging condition.
