Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), encompassing conditions like Crohn's disease and Ulcerative Colitis, is a chronic, debilitating disorder with a complex etiology. The past decade has seen significant strides in understanding its pathogenesis and management. This article aims to provide a comprehensive update on the latest insights and advances in IBD management.
Recent studies have highlighted the role of genetic predisposition, environmental factors, and gut microbiota in IBD pathogenesis. The discovery of novel susceptibility genes and understanding the interplay between genetic and environmental factors have paved the way for personalized therapy.
