Progress in diagnostic techniques has greatly enhanced our ability to detect and understand sleep apnea. High-resolution pulse oximetry, for example, provides more detailed data about oxygen saturation levels during sleep, enabling more accurate diagnosis. Additionally, home sleep apnea testing devices have become more sophisticated, offering a convenient and cost-effective alternative to in-lab polysomnography.

While CPAP therapy remains the cornerstone of treatment, advancements in diagnostic techniques, therapeutic approaches, and the application of personalized medicine promise to revolutionize sleep apnea management. Keeping abreast of these developments will ensure that we continue to provide the highest quality of care to our patients.
