However, challenges exist, such as the development of resistance, high cost, and the need for precise diagnostic testing. Ongoing research is aimed at overcoming these obstacles and enhancing the therapeutic potential of this approach.
The future of targeted therapy in oncology is promising. With the advent of next-generation sequencing and the expanding understanding of tumor biology, the potential for new targets is vast. Additionally, the combination of targeted therapy with other treatment modalities such as immunotherapy is a promising avenue for future research.
