This review synthesizes current evidence regarding the adoption of digital ICPs across specialties, delineates their epidemiological impact, and explores the mechanistic and clinical implications for modern healthcare professionals. Key advances, guideline recommendations, and future challenges are critically examined to equip clinicians with up-to-date knowledge for optimizing patient outcomes.
