Speciality: Orthopedics
Description:
Welcome to our podcast. Today, we’re exploring the recovery process after a bone fracture. Healing begins as soon as the bone is set and immobilized, usually with a cast or splint. In the first few weeks, your body forms new tissue to bridge the fracture. Gradually, this tissue hardens, restoring strength. Physical therapy often follows, helping you regain movement and flexibility. It’s important to follow your doctor’s advice, avoid putting weight on the affected area too soon, and maintain a healthy diet rich in calcium and vitamin D. Recovery times vary depending on the bone and your overall health, but patience and proper care are key to a full recovery.
