Recognizing and responding to medical emergrncies

Speciality: Critical Care

Speaker:

Dr. J MUKUND | Consultant Intensivist

Description:

In today’s episode, we’re exploring how to recognise and respond to medical emergencies. The first step is to stay calm and quickly assess the situation. Look for signs such as difficulty breathing, chest pain, sudden weakness, or severe bleeding. If you suspect a serious problem, call emergency services immediately. While waiting for help, ensure the person is safe and comfortable. If trained, provide first aid such as CPR or using an AED. Remember, acting quickly can save lives. Always keep emergency numbers handy and consider taking a basic first aid course to be better prepared. Being aware and ready to respond makes all the difference in critical situations.
