Speciality: Nephrology
Description:
In today’s episode, we’re focusing on why staying hydrated is essential for your kidney health. Your kidneys play a vital role in filtering waste and toxins from your blood, and adequate hydration helps them function efficiently. When you don’t drink enough water, your kidneys have to work harder, which can increase your risk of developing kidney stones or even chronic kidney disease over time. Experts recommend drinking around six to eight glasses of water each day, though your exact needs may vary depending on your body, activity level, and climate. Remember, thirst is often a late sign of dehydration, so make it a habit to sip water regularly. By keeping hydrated, you’re supporting your kidneys and your overall health.
