How Ovarian Stimulation Works During Fertility Treatment

Speciality: IVF

Description:

Welcome to our podcast on fertility treatment. Today, we’re exploring how ovarian stimulation works. During fertility treatments like IVF, medication is used to encourage the ovaries to develop multiple eggs instead of just one. This is important because having more eggs increases the chances of successful fertilisation. Doctors monitor your hormone levels and use ultrasound scans to track how your ovaries are responding. The process usually takes 8 to 14 days and is carefully adjusted based on your body’s reaction. Once the eggs are ready, they’re collected for fertilisation in the lab. Ovarian stimulation is a key step, helping many people take the next step on their fertility journey. Thanks for listening.
