Speciality: Anesthesia
Description:
Today, we're discussing what every patient should know before undergoing general anesthesia. General anesthesia is commonly used to keep you comfortable and pain-free during surgery, but it’s important to be prepared. Before your procedure, share your full medical history, allergies, and any medications you’re taking with your healthcare team. Follow fasting instructions closely to reduce the risk of complications. Ask questions about what to expect before, during, and after anesthesia. Remember, experiencing some grogginess or mild nausea after waking up is normal. Your care team will monitor you closely to ensure your safety. Being informed and proactive helps make your surgical experience smoother and safer.
