Quiz On Sunburn Prevention and Control

"Dear Doctor - Participate in this fun and exciting Quiz on sunburn. A sunburn occurs when the skin is exposed to too much ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. This can happen in just a few minutes if you're not careful. UV radiation is a type of electromagnetic radiation that's invisible to the naked eye. It's made up of three different types of waves: UVA, UVB, and UVC. UVA rays are the longest and can penetrate deep into the skin, causing damage to the collagen and elastin fibers that keep skin firm and elastic. UVB rays are shorter and cause damage to the surface of the skin, resulting in a sunburn. UVC rays are even shorter and can cause serious damage to the DNA in cells, but fortunately they're mostly absorbed by the earth's atmosphere and don't reach us. Participate Now."
