Treatment strategies should be tailored to the underlying cause of the diarrhea. For example, infectious causes may require antibiotics, while inflammatory conditions might necessitate immunomodulatory therapy. Patients should also be counseled on lifestyle modifications, such as dietary changes and stress management, which can help manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
