After the clinical evaluation, laboratory and imaging studies can help identify the etiology. Evaluating peripheral neuropathy requires a systematic approach that includes a thorough clinical evaluation, appropriate laboratory and imaging studies, and consideration of both common and rare causes. By navigating this diagnostic maze, clinicians can identify the underlying cause and initiate appropriate treatment, improving outcomes for patients with this challenging condition.
