Management of dyslipidemia includes lifestyle modifications, pharmacological intervention, and regular monitoring. Therapeutic lifestyle changes (TLC) are the first-line treatment, focusing on diet, physical activity, and weight management.
When TLC is insufficient, pharmacological intervention is necessary. Statins are the first-line drug therapy, with other options including bile acid sequestrants, niacin, and fibrates.
