For drug-induced liver injury, discontinuation of the offending drug is recommended. Antiviral therapy is the mainstay of treatment for viral hepatitis. In cases where a definitive cause cannot be found, a liver biopsy may be warranted.

By understanding the potential causes, employing a thorough diagnostic workup, and implementing targeted management strategies, physicians can effectively navigate this complex clinical scenario.
