Electronic Health Records (EHRs) are pivotal in enhancing patient care quality and efficiency in healthcare delivery. However, their successful implementation can be challenging. This article provides a comprehensive guide to optimize patient care through effective EHR implementation.
EHRs are digital versions of patients' paper charts, real-time and patient-centered records that make information available instantly and securely to authorized users. They contain patients' medical history, diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, immunization dates, allergies, radiology images, and laboratory test results.
