Recent advancements in molecular diagnostics have revolutionized TB detection. Techniques such as nucleic acid amplification tests (NAATs) and whole-genome sequencing offer rapid, accurate detection of TB and drug resistance. NAATs, including Xpert MTB/RIF, can detect both TB and rifampicin resistance within hours, significantly reducing diagnostic delays.
