Chronic pain is a major public health issue that affects millions of people worldwide. It is associated with significant physical, psychological, and economic costs. Traditional treatments such as medications, physical therapy, and surgery are often unsuccessful in providing adequate relief. As a result, there is a need for new and innovative treatments for chronic pain. One such treatment is stellate ganglion block (SGB), which has been gaining popularity in recent years. SGB is a minimally invasive procedure that involves injecting a local anesthetic and/or steroid into the stellate ganglion, a nerve bundle located in the neck. The procedure is believed to work by blocking the transmission of pain signals from the affected area to the brain. In addition, it is thought to reduce inflammation and promote the release of endorphins, which are natural painkillers.

Stellate ganglion block is generally considered to be a safe procedure with few risks or side effects. The most common side effects are temporary numbness or tingling in the affected area, which usually subsides within a few hours. Other rare side effects include dizziness, nausea, and temporary paralysis.
