Pharmacotherapy forms the backbone of osteoporosis management. Bisphosphonates, Denosumab, and Teriparatide are commonly used, each with its unique benefits and risks. Personalized therapy should be considered, taking into account the patient's risk profile, comorbid conditions, and potential side effects.
Lifestyle modifications play a critical role in osteoporosis management. Encouraging patients to maintain a balanced diet rich in calcium and vitamin D, regular weight-bearing exercise, and cessation of tobacco and alcohol use can significantly improve bone health.
