Early detection of ACS is crucial in preventing myocardial infarction and reducing mortality rates. Advanced diagnostic tools such as high-sensitivity cardiac troponin assays and coronary computed tomography angiography (CCTA) can facilitate early detection and risk stratification, thereby guiding timely and appropriate interventions.
Pharmacotherapy remains a cornerstone in ACS management. Novel antiplatelet agents like ticagrelor and prasugrel have demonstrated superiority over clopidogrel in reducing cardiovascular events. Additionally, the advent of non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulants (NOACs) has revolutionized anticoagulation therapy, offering safer and more effective options.
Emerging techniques in interventional cardiology, such as bioresorbable vascular scaffolds and drug-eluting stents, enhance revascularization strategies and reduce restenosis rates. Advanced strategies in ACS management, encompassing early detection, innovative pharmacotherapy, interventional cardiology techniques, and multidisciplinary care models, are fundamental to improving patient outcomes. Continuous research and innovation in these areas will undoubtedly shape the future of ACS management, providing healthcare professionals with more tools to combat this pervasive condition.
