Patient education is crucial to ensure understanding of the purpose and potential side effects of each medication. Healthcare professionals should also consider non-pharmacological interventions where appropriate.
Polypharmacy presents a significant challenge in modern healthcare, with potential for serious implications for patient safety and quality of life. By understanding the risks and implementing strategies to manage polypharmacy, healthcare professionals can help ensure optimal treatment outcomes for their patients.
