With the growing aging population, the need for effective diagnostic tools and management strategies has never been greater. This article discusses the latest innovations in dementia diagnosis and management.
Novel biomarkers and neuroimaging techniques are revolutionizing dementia diagnosis. Fluid biomarkers in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and blood, such as amyloid β, total tau, and phosphorylated tau, are proving valuable in early detection. Additionally, advanced neuroimaging techniques, like positron emission tomography (PET) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), are enabling more precise mapping of neurodegeneration.
