When initial investigations are inconclusive, advanced diagnostic tools come into play. Bone marrow examination, hemoglobin electrophoresis, or genetic testing may be required. These can help diagnose less common conditions such as aplastic anemia, thalassemia, or myelodysplastic syndromes.
