The American College of Cardiology (ACC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) have developed guidelines to help clinicians assess a patient’s risk of developing CVD over the next 10 years. The 10-year ASCVD risk assessment is a powerful tool for clinicians to identify patients at high risk of developing CVD and to provide them with appropriate interventions to reduce their risk.
