Furthermore, insulin resistance, common in type 2 diabetes, exacerbates these changes and promotes atherogenic dyslipidemia.

Diabetic patients often exhibit a cluster of cardiovascular risk factors. Hypertension, obesity, and dyslipidemia frequently coexist with diabetes, enhancing the cardiovascular risk.
