A multidisciplinary approach can be beneficial in managing UWL. This team may include a primary care physician, dietitian, psychiatrist, and other specialists as needed. Their combined expertise can help ensure comprehensive care for the patient.
Unexplained weight loss presents a diagnostic challenge that requires a comprehensive, patient-centered approach. By utilizing a systematic diagnostic process, engaging a multidisciplinary team, and implementing tailored management strategies, clinicians can effectively address this complex issue. Continued research is needed to further understand the mechanisms underlying UWL and to develop more effective diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.
