Regular monitoring of liver enzymes is crucial for assessing the response to treatment and detecting potential complications. The frequency of follow-up and additional investigations will depend on the severity of liver disease and the patient's overall clinical status.
Elevated liver enzymes pose a diagnostic challenge in clinical practice. A systematic approach that includes a thorough evaluation, appropriate differential diagnosis, targeted management, and regular monitoring can help clinicians effectively manage these patients.
