Reporting provides regular feedback to prescribers, and education equips healthcare professionals with knowledge and skills on antimicrobial optimization.
Successful implementation of ASPs in hospitals requires a multidisciplinary approach, involving infectious disease physicians, pharmacists, clinical microbiologists, and infection control practitioners. It is also essential to integrate ASPs into the hospital's existing workflow and systems. Regular audits and feedback, coupled with education and training, are vital to ensure the program's effectiveness and sustainability.
