Developed nations such as the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia report significant vacancy rates, with projections indicating worsening gaps by 2030 unless substantial interventions occur. Factors contributing to this burden include demographic shifts, increasing patient acuity, and the expanded role of nurses in multidisciplinary care.
