As with any medication, there are potential risks associated with the use of ethacrynic acid. The most common side effects of ethacrynic acid include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. Other potential side effects include kidney damage, dehydration, and electrolyte imbalances. In addition, ethacrynic acid can interact with other medications, including blood pressure medications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), and anticoagulants. These interactions can increase the risk of side effects.
