If the cause is ventricular fibrillation, then the patient will require electrical cardioversion to restore a normal heart rhythm. If the cause is hypoxia, then the patient will require oxygen therapy to restore oxygen levels. If the cause is hypothermia, then the patient will require rewarming therapy to restore body temperature. If the cause is drug overdose, then the patient will require treatment with the appropriate medication. If the cause is electrolyte imbalance, then the patient will require treatment with the appropriate electrolyte solution. If the cause is trauma, then the patient will require surgical intervention to repair the damaged tissue.
