One of the most significant advancements in Hepatitis management is the development of novel antiviral therapies. Direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) have revolutionized the treatment of Hepatitis C, offering cure rates of over 95%. These drugs work by directly inhibiting the replication of the Hepatitis C virus, leading to its eradication from the patient's body.
There have been significant advancements in vaccine development as well. The Hepatitis B vaccine has been available since the 1980s and has significantly reduced the incidence of the disease. More recently, research into a potential Hepatitis C vaccine has shown promising results, offering hope for future prevention strategies.

The introduction of highly sensitive and specific serologic tests allows for earlier detection of Hepatitis B and C, leading to prompt treatment and better patient outcomes. Public health initiatives have also contributed to the advancements in Hepatitis management. Efforts to increase vaccination rates, improve infection control practices, and expand access to harm reduction services have all played a role in reducing the burden of Hepatitis.
