Decision support systems can help clinicians choose the most appropriate antimicrobial therapy. Furthermore, data analytics can provide valuable insights into the effectiveness of the program and guide future strategies.
In conclusion, the implementation of effective ASPs is a complex task requiring a shift from traditional management approaches. It demands a comprehensive, multidisciplinary strategy, robust education and training programs, and the effective use of technology. By adopting such an approach, hospitals can make significant strides in combating the global threat of antimicrobial resistance.
