Early detection and management of risk factors such as hypertension, dyslipidemia, and diabetes are crucial in preventing CVD. Regular screening and monitoring, along with appropriate pharmacological interventions, can help control these conditions and reduce cardiovascular risk.
Tools like the Framingham Risk Score and the Atherosclerotic Cardiovascular Disease (ASCVD) Risk Estimator can assist in predicting a patient's 10-year risk for CVD. These tools can guide clinicians in making informed decisions about preventive interventions.

Statins, antihypertensives, and antiplatelet agents have proven efficacy in reducing cardiovascular risk. Their use should be individualized based on the patient's risk profile and tolerance.
