Acute treatment aims at relieving pain and associated symptoms, while preventive treatment focuses on reducing attack frequency and severity. Non-pharmacological strategies, including lifestyle modifications and cognitive-behavioral therapy, play a critical role in comprehensive headache management.
Decoding headache disorders requires a thorough understanding of their multifaceted nature. A comprehensive approach, encompassing accurate diagnosis, targeted treatment, and patient education, can significantly improve patient outcomes and quality of life. As healthcare professionals, we must remain up-to-date with current research and guidelines to provide the best possible care for our patients with headache disorders.
