Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) represent a significant cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide. Risk assessment is a critical component of preventive cardiology, enabling early intervention and management. Risk assessment in CVDs is a complex, evolving field. While traditional risk factors and risk calculators continue to play a crucial role, emerging risk factors and personalized approaches are refining the process. Understanding these intricacies is essential for healthcare professionals to optimally manage CVD risk, ultimately improving patient outcomes.
