New antiviral therapies have transformed the management of hepatitis. The introduction of direct-acting antivirals (DAAs) for hepatitis C has shown a high cure rate with fewer side effects compared to traditional interferon-based therapies. Similarly, tenofovir alafenamide, a new antiviral for hepatitis B, has demonstrated superior efficacy and safety profile.

The landscape of hepatitis management is rapidly evolving, with new therapies, diagnostic tools, and care delivery models continually emerging. Healthcare professionals must stay abreast of these developments to provide the most effective and up-to-date care for their patients. Continued research and innovation in this field are critical to achieving global hepatitis elimination goals.
