The assessment of CVD risk factors is the first step in prevention. These factors can be classified as modifiable and non-modifiable. Non-modifiable factors include age, sex, and family history, while modifiable factors encompass lifestyle habits such as smoking, unhealthy diet, physical inactivity, and conditions like hypertension, diabetes, and hyperlipidemia.
