Fatigue can be classified into primary and secondary types. Primary fatigue, being idiopathic in nature, is not associated with any underlying medical condition. Patient education and self-management strategies play a crucial role in managing this complex symptom.
Recent research focuses on understanding the pathophysiology of fatigue and developing novel therapeutic strategies. Advances in neuroimaging and molecular biology promise to unravel the complexity of fatigue and offer new avenues for treatment.
Fatigue is a complex symptom with multifactorial etiology. A comprehensive clinical approach is vital to diagnose and manage this condition effectively. Ongoing research and advancements in biomedical technology hold promise for better understanding and management of fatigue in the future.
