\nAddiction remains a global public health challenge, with complex etiological pathways encompassing genetic, neurobiological, and psychosocial domains. Traditional assessments have emphasized risk factors; however, the protective role of resilience—specifically, psychosocial resilience—has garnered attention as a modifiable determinant in addiction vulnerability. Understanding and measuring resilience can enhance risk stratification and inform tailored interventions. This review aims to elucidate the landscape of psychosocial resilience metrics and their relevance in clinical addiction vulnerability assessment.
\nSubstance use disorders (SUDs) affect over 35 million people globally, contributing to significant morbidity, mortality, and societal costs.
