Abstract

This review synthesizes current clinical guidelines, epidemiological data, and recent research to outline the burden of emotional resilience deficits, elucidate underlying mechanisms, highlight risk factors, and provide practical, evidence-based recommendations for implementing personalized interventions in clinical practice. Emphasis is placed on integrating mechanistic insights with patient-centered care, recent advances in intervention strategies, and the translation of emerging guidelines into practice, aiming to optimize mental health outcomes and overall wellbeing.

Introduction

Emotional resilience, defined as an individual's capacity to adapt to stress, adversity, or traumatic events, is a critical determinant of psychological health. In the context of modern healthcare, rising rates of burnout, chronic stress, and psychiatric comorbidities underscore the need for structured programs to foster resilience. While traditional approaches have focused on generic interventions, emerging guidelines advocate for personalized resilience-building frameworks tailored to individual risk profiles, clinical contexts, and psychosocial needs. This article reviews the state of evidence and synthesizes clinical guidelines to support the development and implementation of such programs in medical practice.

Epidemiology / Disease Burden
