Developmental monitoring is an essential component of pediatric healthcare, facilitating the identification of children who may benefit from early intervention services. The increasing involvement of nurses in developmental surveillance reflects a paradigm shift toward multidisciplinary, proactive care models. Nurse-led approaches have been shown to enhance the coverage, continuity, and effectiveness of developmental monitoring, particularly in settings with limited access to pediatric specialists.
